Pensions and Benefits

The Covenant Pension Plan
A unique benefit to all Covenant pastors, the Covenant Pension Plan provides a specific way to care for each other and protect those who may otherwise not be covered. Participation in this program is mandatory for all full-time, credentialed Covenant ministers serving Covenant churches or institutions.

Forms to Begin Pension
Covenant Pastors who want to enroll in the Covenant Pension Plan need to download the following forms:

• The Pension Plan update form 
• The Annual Pastor's Salary Report Form - please note that both the pastor and church treasurer must sign this form.

Please send or fax both of these forms to the Department of the Ordered Ministry (Fax to: 773-583-3292). 

Change of Pastorate
If you have moved to another Covenant church, complete the same forms as above, but check the box for "Change of Pastorate" on the Pension Plan update form.  Send or fax forms to the Department of the Ordered Ministry (Fax to: 773-583-3292).

Changes in Marital Status for Pension Plan
Covenant Pastors who have a change in marital status may use the change of marital status form to notify the Department of the Ordered Ministry and Pensions so appropriate changes to their beneficiary will be made.

Bethany Benefits Health Insurance Plan
The Covenant cares for its pastors through its own health insurance plan that provides care no matter what your physical condition. Those who have experienced major hospitalization are grateful for the care and coverage they've received.
