North Park Theological Seminary Center for Justice Ministries

The Center for Justice Ministries (CJM) at North Park Theological Seminary works with the Department of Compassion Mercy and Justice of the Evangelical Covenant Church to help Christian leaders think biblically and theologically about the development and delivery of ministries of compassion and justice. The CJM seeks to establish concerns for justice as central to ministry and seminary education and church practice.

Our mission is to offer educational oportunities to eqiup seminaries, pastors, and church members to praise ahd honor God by "doing what is fair, right, and just," in the words of Proverbs 1:3. We hope to be a bridge between the seminary, the church, and the public arena--challenging all to bridge the gap of injustice by their choices, their thinking, their work, and their life of faith in Christ. Ther aim of the CJM is to promote a deeper understanding and study of these issues in order to empower people to be engaged in transformative acts inside the church and to the world.
