Racial Righteousness

When we think of discipleship or a growing devotional life our first thoughts often move towards bible studies and prayer. Both of these are important elements of growing as a disciple of Christ to be sure.

However, equally important is living out a life that reflects Christ's through compassion, mercy and justice. In Mathew 23:23 Jesus Christ admonishes those who do not include compassion mercy and justice as a vital part of their daily walk. Clearly growing as a disciple of Christ includes a lived out faith that includes  compassion mercy and justice. Christ demonstrated this by what he said Matthew 5:7 & 25:37-40 and how he lived Mt 9:10-13 & 14:14 and John4:27.

Sankofa and Journey to Racial Righteousness, available through the Department of Compassion Mercy and Justice, are two  ways of growing deeper and more fully as disciples of Christ.
