Enabling Residences
Bjorklund House
Opened in 1994, Bjorklund House is home to 16 adults with developmental
disabilities. A 24-hour staff encourages residents to achieve their
maximum level of independence in the group setting. From doing their
laundry and helping with meals, to grocery shopping, using public
transportation or holding a job in the community, residents experience
the satisfaction of daily strides in their growth toward independence.
Independence Place
Just two blocks from Bjorklund House, Independence Place offers an even higher level of independence to its eight residents.
Residents' apartments are complete with their own bathroom and kitchen.
Staff members are on site 24 hours a day to offer support and
encouragement as residents walk the path to self-sufficiency. All
residents are employed in the local community or participate in a
Topday program.
