Worship & Music Leader – OR – Worship Team Accompanist

Job Description:

• Bethany Evangelical Covenant Church in Stillwater, MN, is seeking a part-time person to assist with worship ministry duties.  Our first choice would be a Worship & Music Leader who would coordinate the church's music program, plus accompany and lead the worship team during services.  This would be a permanent position. The second option would be an Accompanist who would rehearse with the music team, and accompany them during services.  This position would be temporary, lasting until a permanent Worship & Music Leader is found.

• For the Worship & Music Leader position, the role would include: planning music for each service (one service Sunday morning and occasional special services); formatting the church laptop computer for projection of words, rehearsing with the worship team (typically three singers), seasonal choir, and other small groups or special music;  leading and providing piano/keyboard accompaniment during each service. Expected 10-12 hours per week.

• For the Accompanist position, the role would include: rehearsing with the worship team, seasonal choir, and other small groups or special music; and providing piano/keyboard accompaniment during each service.

The musical style of our worship service is a blend of hymns and contemporary praise / worship songs.
