Big Changes in Store for CGE

Annual Meeting 2008 has come and gone, and the Covenant has elected a new president. Gary Walter will move from his position as Executive Minister of Church Growth & Evangelism to the office of President, beginning September 1st. A new executive ministry for CGE will be elected at the 2009 Annual Meeting.

In the meanwhile, John Notehelfer has graciously accepted the invitation to steer the CGE ship, and will begin mid-August. Please pray for Gary as he transitions to the presidency, John as he prepares to serve as interim, and the search process for a new executive minister.

Through starting new congregations, providing resources to strengthen existing congregations, and developing resources for evangelism and prayer, the Department of Church Growth and Evangelism seeks to reach more people with the hope of Christ right here in the United States and Canada.

 The harvest is plentiful.
More than 50,000 people attend churches we have started in the last decade.

Over twenty percent of our congregations are either ethnic or multiethnic.

And last year, more than 12,000 people came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through the ministries of our churches.
