Keynote Speakers...
C. John Weborg (speaker, Tuesday evening) has been a member of the faculty at North Park Theological Seminary since 1975, where he was the primary developer of their distinctive spiritual formation program. He is co-author of Prayer and Life in the Spirit: A Venture in Academic Excellence and Ecumenical Collaboration and also published Alive in Christ, Alert to Life. He enjoys traveling by train and is an expert on rail lines in the United States.
Pia Restrepo (speaker, Wednesday morning) was commissioned as a career missionary to Spain at the Annual Meeting in 1996. She is involved with Comunidad Cristiana Evangélica Parque Victoria in the province of Málaga. Pia received her B.A. in bilingual education from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and her M.A. in Christian education from New College in Berkeley, CA. Pia and her husband Eugenio have a son, Efy, and a daughter, Paulina..
Gary Walter (speaker, Wednesday evening) currently serves as executive minister for the department of church growth and evangelism (CGE). During Gary’s tenure with the department the ECC has grown by nearly 80%, reflecting geographic, ethnic, socioeconomic, and generational diversity. Gary and his wife Nancy have three daughters, Amy (Chase), Alissa, and Lauren. The Walters are founding members of DeerGrove Covenant Church in Palatine, IL.
Deborah C. Blue (speaker, Thursday morning) is the executive minister of compassion, mercy, and justice, a newly created department of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Blue previously served as associate director of consulting & training, and as director of adult ministries in the department of Christian formation. A lifelong Chicago-area resident and member of Community Covenant Church, Calumet Park, IL, Debbie is the proud mother of three and grandmother of six.
Pablo Anabalon (speaker, Thursday evening) has served as pastor at Iglesia del Pacto Evangelico in Eagle Rock, California for over 10 years. He is a licensed psychologist and teaches at Centro Hispano de Estudios Teológicos (CHET), Fuller Theological Seminary and Azusa Pacific University. Pablo is married to Marlene. They have two children, Dominique and Christian Esteban. Pablo is very proud to come from a family that has been involved in ministry for three generations.

Matt Lundgren, worship leader, leads a talented and diverse team of musicians and vocalists to help us express our hearts before God in a varied and rich way, weaving the best of both proven and recently developed worship arts. The team’s experience includes multiple CHICs, Midwinter Conferences, and Evangelical Covenant Church Annual Meetings.

What Is the Annual Meeting?
The Annual Meeting is the highest legislative body of the Evangelical Covenant Church, made up of representatives from Covenant churches throughout the United States and Canada. Delegates gather together for worship and fellowship, and to ordain ministers, consecrate missionaries, elect leaders, review finances, adopt a budget, and address the business of the church.
